Exciting Upgrades to Services at addington.net

As the year began Greg Smith and Sumit Kumar, addington.net volunteers, rolled out the Windows 7 operating system and the Microsoft Office 2010 application suite, with the CCC Library IT team giving a few pointers along the way.

The Windows 7 desktop is customised on addington.net PCs in two ways-the background or wallpaper is a beach scene with our free groups and clubs displayed on it. Some of the most used programmes are tucked into appropriately named folders down the left hand side of the screen. For example, Word 2010 and Excel 2010, are in the Office folder while the remaining Office programmes can be opened from the Start menu.

We have a new black and white copier that also faxes and can be a backup printer, a total of two colour printers, and the black and white printer that has always been positioned in the centre of addington.net.
